Stopped by the Apple store today. Yes, the iPod nano is that small. It’s insane. The demo models at the store were pretty scratched up, but they still looked pretty nice.

I actually got one. It was a terrible moment of weakness but after reading about it and its various features and functions, I just HAD to get it. Yes, it indeed does scratch up easily but I figure its end of life will be in less than two years. I absolutely LOVE the fact that it can charge from USB, very handy when I’m on the road with my laptop.
However, I HATE iTunes. Organizing music, my ass. I can see how it would be useful if you had MP3s that had nice and orderly id3 tags, but I’m not about to go through my 1,800+ files and fix them.
I still can’t believe I own an Apple product, much less an iPod…shame…
Go ahead, buy it, and definitely pay the extra $50 for the 4GB. I stupidly thought 2GB would be enough since my previous player was 256MB, but as soon as I started filling it up, I got the Buyer’s Remorse and did the cost-benefit analysis of the extra 2GB…DAMMIT!
