The Peacekeeper Wars

This mini-series, made to wrap-up the show after the Sci-Fi channel canceled the series, generally gets glowing review. I have no idea why. I know it must have been cool to have the series back for an encore, but man I was disappointed. The actors seemed to have forgotten how to play their roles, the makeup was different (what the heck did they do to Sikozu and Jothee?!), the deus ex machina aliens, the lady who played like five different characters, and the craptastic CGI Rigel. I liked that it wrapped a lot of loose strings up, I generally liked the structure (with the echoes of future conversations), and I thought some of the actors did really good jobs (particularly Wayne Pygram and Ben Browder). But Sikozu as a Scarran spy?! Jothee seems to have lost his half-Sebacean heritage, Sikozu lost her attitude and got a stupid haircut, Chiana almost glowed her makeup was so odd, and Naranti had like four lines. Finally, the wormhole weapon originally seemed to be about letting people sneak around without being seen. Here we see it as some kind of blackhole-like thing.
