Blade: Trinity

I thought Blade and Blade II were decent action movies. Blade is about as perfect a role for Wesley Snipes as there can be, the writing wasn’t god awful, the direction was decent, and the music was suitably loud. They even did a decent job making the world somewhat internally consistent. And then they make this piece of crap. The writing is lousy, the acting is mediocre (particularly the second-tier Nightstalkers), the plot is retarded (see below), and the action was merely passable (a bow and arrow?!). And the music sucked — a lot.

Annoying Plot Things

Are all the vampire elders dead? Is this how Parker Posy got to be in charge? Wouldn’t the anti-vampire virus be useless? It kills too fast — there’s no oppurtunity to infect new victims. Haven’t they just wasted their only supply?

I agree, this one was a bomb. I thought the ‘bad guy’ was cheesy and the ‘final battle’ to be very anticlimactic. After seeing Amityville Horror and Van Wilder (I am proud to say that it wasn’t that bad), I am quite impresed with Ryan Reynolds. I can’t wait to see his future stuff.

…I just wish he wasn’t so damn buff though (damn him!). Jeeze he must’ve hit the gym for this movie!
