		<description>I have used PmWiki, and it&#039;s probably my favorite wiki right now. My main complaint is that it tends to need lots of plugins and tweaking to make it &quot;just right&quot;. I&#039;ve had problems getting the Markdown plugin to work right, but I&#039;m going to give it another try.</description>

Have you taken a look at PmWiki (http://pmwiki.org)? Doesn&#039;t require mySQL, has the option to turn off clean urls (so no .htaccess required), PHP, with a pretty straightforward installation. It&#039;s also got a MarkDown plugin (http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/MarkdownMarkupExtension).</description>
