Duke doesn't also keeps a lot of the drinking on campus, and you only rarely hear about problems with neighbors (this might be bad reporting, hard to tell). Interestingly, UNC also manages to avoid a lot of the problems CU and Boulder have, I wish I could figure out what they were doing right (possible factors: no carding at the door for bars, lax enforcement on campus).

CU as well needs to get their head out of heir ass on this one. While the campus here is certainly not comparable in scope, I haven't noticed any fights breaking out because there is booze available in the mensa.

I seem to remember my friend Brad B. telling me about an on campus bar at Dartmouth (umm, may have been a different Ivy Leauge - they all get confused in my head). If the campus can regulate the atmosphere in the bar (or "pub"), it should be able to create an expectation of responsability. Take the "underaged" drinkers here. Oops regularly has 15-16 year olds there drinking. Yes, they are occasionaly annoying, but the vast majority of the time they are well behaved and act responsibly. Otherwise they get thier asses kicked by the older folks (non-physicaly, of course). :-)
